Florence Burgat

Why do we care so much about plants?

Plants and human are very distant.

Plants accept the environment and grow there, unlike human.

Plants can proliferate and propagate by division, therefore, they do not exist in the cycle of life and death.

No matter how much I care about them, they have no subjectivity, so they just accept the environment they are given.

The only way we can connect with them (plants) is to spend the time together.

I think it’s very valuable to do so.

When I go to the woods and look up to the trees thinking how beautiful they are, then my mind travels up in the air and caught myself being a part of the scenery of the mountain.

Plants and human are distant by the form, but we are nothing but the same as a part of the world.

I would like to remember that we are all a part of the nature.
